About Frank Blake CEO of Home Depot
Frank Blake was appointed Chairman and CEO of Home Depot in 2007. Before he was appointed he served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Vice President. Initially he came to Home Depot in 2002 as the Executive Vice President of Business Development and Corporate Operations.
Before coming to the Home Depot family he also served as deputy secretary for the U.S. Department of Energy which was similar to a role of chief operating officer in private industry. He also served the public as general counsel for the EPA and deputy counsel to Vice President George Bush and law clerk to Justice Stevens of the United States Supreme Court. Frank started his course to his CEO position at Home Depot at Harvard University and received a jurisprudence degree from Columbia University Law School. (taken from www.homedepot.com)
